New patients

Your first visit, step by step.

Starting care can feel like a big step. Here’s exactly what to expect, what to bring, and how to get the most from your first appointment, in person or by telehealth.

How it works

From first call to first visit

01

Call us

Call (402) 251-3600, Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. We’ll answer your questions, check your insurance and find a time that works.

02

Paperwork

We’ll send new-patient forms before your visit. Completing them ahead of time gives us more time to focus on you.

03

Your evaluation

Your first visit is longer than follow-ups. We’ll talk about your symptoms, history, sleep, nutrition, stress and goals.

04

Your plan

Together we’ll build a personalized plan and schedule your follow-up so you know what comes next.

Questions

First-visit FAQs

Do I have to talk about everything at the first visit?

No. Share what you’re comfortable with. We go at your pace, and there’s time in follow-up visits to cover more.

Will I leave with a prescription?

Not always. Medication may or may not be part of your plan. We’ll explain our thinking and decide together.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. A family member or friend is welcome to join for part or all of your visit if that helps you feel comfortable.

What if I need to reschedule?

Please call (402) 251-3600 as soon as you can so we can offer the time to someone else and find you a new one.

What if I’m in crisis before my appointment?

Don’t wait. Call or text 988 any time, call 911, or visit our help & resources page.

Ready when you are.
